Download Procedures for
Clients, Stations and Producers
There are two methods by which we transmit MP3 files. On very rare occasions
we will send a file as an email attachment. This is because in large part,
that file sizes are usually larger that what most internet service providers
will allow as attachments. The preferred method is via a download using
your web browser.
Our standard production procedures:
- Your staff emails
or sends our firm the content of the
production to be voiced.
We produce
the content of your production and
then post the sound as an MP3 file on our web
server. When we post these
files on the server, we rename the files to "filename.MP-"
instead of "filename.MP3". This allows
you to download the file in whole without any conflicts with any MP3
streaming software you may have on your system.
We then E-Mail you a message with a link to a
custom web page. This custom
web page contains
links to your ordered content.
With your web browser program, you can then go
to that web page where you will find a link to click on to download your
ordered content. When you click on the link, you will be prompted to
"download" or "save" the incoming file to your
computer's hard disk. Simply determine
the
directory or folder in
your system you wish to save your file and the downloading process will
proceed. (Be sure to remember where you decided
to save your file!)
After you have received your file, you will
need to rename your file from "filename.MP-"
to "filename.MP3".
You may now listen and use the file you've
received for
your productions.

If you have questions regarding this, you may
want to consult with your computer support staff on this very simple
procedure. While we are not a "computer support
resource" for other companies, if you have difficulty, you may contact
our office and we will be glad to work with you.
To
follow up, we would appreciate hearing from
you by email that you have received the file you have downloaded. This helps us to
keep our files up-to-date.
As an alternative, we can burn the MP3 file to a
CD and ship it to you for a small fee. If you have questions - call us at
our offices M-F 8:30am - 4:30pm Central Time (excluding holidays).
